Ahora si...
Como comenté en mi journal anterior, mi querida Kodak DX 6490 estaba empezando a fallar, asi que me restringía mucho lo que podía hacer con ella. Finalmente, después de seis años (o más) de sacarle el jugo, mi cámara terminó de fallar, y me dejó definitivamante. Yo había previsto esto, asi que encargué una camarita nueva el año pasado, pero como Murphy es mi eterno compañero, la camara no pudo llegar hasta hace poco a reemplazar... no, no suena bien, a cumplir las funciones que mi Kodak no podía ya cumplir.
Ahora tengo una Nikon D80 que hasta ahora se ha portado genial, y se impone por presencia (mi Kodak no impresionaba tanto, pero cumplia siempre). El problema de esto es que hace poco recibí el primer comentario "ubicado". Mientras tomaba unas fotos en un seminario de Aikido, un amigo me dijo "me gustaría tener una cámara así para tomar bacanes también..."
Yo lo miré con mi mejor cara de "¿es en serio?" y le dije "¿o sea que tú crees que yo solo miro y apreto el botón? ¿así de simple? a ver, dale... toma las fotos tú" y le pasé mi cámara. Como estaba en Manual, sin autoenfoque, probó en cinco ocasiones sin tomar ni una foto clara (además q él movia el brazo al presionar el botón, por lo que con mayor razón salían movidas las fotos). Después me entregó la cámara sin decir nada... triunfo moral para mi
Asi que eso... cuando vuelva de la ciudad de la furia subiré alguna de las fotos que saqué con Nikita, mi camarita nueva (si, ya tiene nombre).

In my last journal I said that my dear Kodak DX 6490 was starting to fail, so I wasnt able to take pics the way I like it. Finally, after six years (or more) of pushing it to the limits, my camera leave for good. As I've forseen that, I bought a new camera last year, but since Murphy is my eternal partner, the new camera arrived just now.
Now I have a Nikon D80 that works great, and it have a imponent presence (my Kodak wasnt that impresive, but always did her work). That part lead to a "great" comment... While I was taking some pics in an Aikido Seminar, a friend of mine told me "I wish I have a camera like yours, so I will be able to take amazing pics too"
I stared at him and said "are you kidding me? so you think that all I do is to point and shoot? just that?... ok, go ahead, take some pics". I pass him my camera in Manual, no AutoFocus and he took five pics, none of them clear (besides, he moved his arm at the same time he pushed the button, so... ) After that he pass me the camera without saying a single word...
So, when I return from the city where I'm going now, I'll show some of the pics I took with Nikita, my new Nikon (yes, she has a name now).
